(A poem that was subjected to plagiarism soon after it was written)
SHE's mine, and I love her
So dearly that
I wish her to be with me
For all the time
Till the DAY OF DOOM...!
I know, she has two faces,
One's bright with happiness,
The other, dark with sorrow.
Many have jilted her, I know,
For fear of the second face...
But sure, am I, that
I can cover her second face
With a mast of LOVE.
She's pretty with the first face,
But prettier with the second!
Like a bud of rose is she
With the first face,
But a FRAGRANT ROSE OF GOLD
With the second one...!!
It'll be thrilling to be with her,
for a pretty long time, free...
But I know, her 'Brothers'* won't let me free...
And she's got scores of them...!
Yet, Sure am I, that
I can face them happily.
No, I'm not for 'eloping'
Just to 'escape' from them.
I will make her the happiest, I swear,
With all the love I can give...
Oh..! SORRY..! I forgot
To tell WHO SHE IS...!
HER name is LIFE...!
And SHE's my only LOVE...!!
*: Problems of life are personified as 'brothers' here.
